Discontinuing All Lighted Keys

Dear Kryptonite Customer,

Kryptonite will be discontinuing all Lighted Keys that are included with some
Kryptonite lock models. This will be a rolling change that we expect to be complete from a
manufacturing aspect by the end of 2024. Packaging and digital product inserts will begin to reflect this
change as product works its way through channels.

This will not impact the number of total keys included in a product. Instead of a product containing 2
Standard Keys and 1 Lighted Key, the product would now include 3 Standard Keys.

The need for, and positive feedback we receive on the Lighted Key has diminished with the prevalence
of smartphones that produce light, coupled with an effort to reduce use of single use batteries and
additional plastics, now seemed like the time to make the change. As a brand, Kryptonite maintains a
focus on providing the best security products available, while continually looking for ways to improve
environmental impact.
