Try to use a pair of tweezers or needle nose pliers to get the piece out. If that does not work and your bike is locked up, your only option is to contact a locksmith and have them remove the lock. Take a picture of the lock, keys, key # and the locksmith bill and submit this info online.
We will send you a new lock and refund the locksmith bill for you. The lock will come first then approximately 10-14 business days later, if needed, you will receive a prepaid debit card, or a check in US Dollars for Canadian customers, for the removal cost. It will be a plain white envelope coming from Indiana.

Is there a UK address I can do this with rather than have the costs of international delivery and the extra time?
Hi Stuart, please email kryptonite@irco.com and I can help you out.
Hi there, my key broke off in my lock a couple of days ago, and no combination of needle nose pliers or tweezers have been able to get it out! If I contact a locksmith, do you have a Canadian address I can mail the lock, keys, and locksmith bill to?
Thanks!
Hi, my key broke in my lock about a week ago and I could not retrieve it and was forced to leave my bike locked up to a pole. The bike was removed and the lock cut but the lock was disposed of unfortunately. Is there anyway I can get a replacement with just the broken key?
Hi Richard,
I'm very sorry for this inconvenience. Please email me at kryptonite@irco.com so that I can get more information from you.

Hi, my key broke in my lock today and I can't retrieve it. Bike is still locked up at the pole. I live in Poland, Wroclaw. The lock model it's Kryptonite evolution series 4. What I should do to get back my bike? Thank you for the quick answer.
Hi, I just snapped my key in the lock as it was completely rusted (I've been keeping it rather clean). Luckily I was just testing the lock and my bike wasn't locked up. Are you still able to replace my lock and keys? I have a Kryptonite New York Standard Lock. Thanks.
