What are the parts of a Chain?

Kryptonite offers two types of chains,those that come with a disc lock or padlock and those the feature an integrated chain. Look below to find description on parts of an integrated chain:

Disc Lock or Padlock: some locks will come with a disc lock or padlock. The disc lock will contain all the basic parts of a u-lock

Nylon Cover: Protects the chain and is secured by hook-n-loop fasteners to keep it in place

Six-Sided or Round Chain Link: Chains that come a padlock or disc lock have a six sided or round steel chain links. Chains come in varying lengths and thicknesses

Note: For transporting some chains can be put into the Transit Tube-R Chain Carrier or Transit Transport-R Chain Bag and mounted onto your bike frame
